Key Components of Industrial Oil and Fluid Chillers
KANSA industrial oil and fluid chillers use a refrigeration circuit together with a fluid circulation system to continuously remove heat from cutting fluids, coolants or hydraulic oil. The exact configuration varies according to the fluid and installation method, while the main cooling components include:
- Evaporator
The evaporator is where heat is transferred from the operating fluid to the refrigerant. KANSA uses different evaporator configurations according to the application, including stainless-steel coil and immersed tank-coil designs for cutting-fluid cooling. - Compressor
The compressor circulates the refrigerant through the refrigeration circuit and raises its pressure after heat has been absorbed from the process fluid. Rotor or scroll compressors are used according to the required cooling capacity and product configuration. - Air-Cooled Condenser and Cooling Fan
After absorbing heat from the oil or coolant, the refrigerant releases this heat through the condenser. The condenser works together with cooling fans to reject heat to the surrounding air before the refrigerant continues through the refrigeration cycle. - Expansion Valve
The expansion valve reduces the refrigerant pressure before it returns to the evaporator. This allows the refrigerant to absorb heat again and keeps the refrigeration cycle operating continuously. - Fluid Circulation Pump
Depending on the chiller configuration, a circulation pump moves cutting fluid, coolant or hydraulic oil between the machine and the cooling system. KANSA hydraulic oil chillers are equipped with oil pumps selected according to the required flow rate and cooling capacity. - Filtration, Flow and Pressure Components
Depending on the model and installation, the fluid and refrigeration circuits can also incorporate components such as dry filters, flow switches and pressure gauges. These components support refrigerant cleanliness, fluid circulation monitoring and stable system operation.
