Air-Cooled Water Chiller
KANSA air-cooled water chillers provide reliable process cooling without the need for a cooling tower or external condenser water system. These process chillers circulate chilled water to remove heat from production equipment and help maintain stable operating temperatures during continuous industrial processes.
- Cooling Capacity: 1.2 ~ 168 kW
- Temperature precision: ±0.1/±0.5/±1.5℃
- Water flow rate: 0.28m³/h ~ 28.9m³/h
Main Components of an Air-Cooled Water Chiller
KANSA air-cooled water chillers combine a refrigeration circuit with a chilled-water circulation system. The specific component configuration varies according to cooling capacity, temperature range and control requirements.
- Compressor
The compressor circulates refrigerant through the refrigeration system and raises its pressure after heat is absorbed from the process water. Depending on the model and cooling capacity, KANSA air-cooled chillers use rotor, scroll or flexible-scroll compressor configurations. - Evaporator
The evaporator transfers heat from the circulating process water or coolant to the refrigerant. Different KANSA chiller models use stainless-steel coil, tank-coil or shell-and-tube evaporator configurations according to cooling capacity and operating conditions. - Air-Cooled Condenser and Cooling Fans
Heat absorbed from the process is discharged directly to ambient air through the condenser. Cooling fans move air across the condenser surface, allowing the refrigerant to release heat without requiring a cooling tower or external condenser-water circuit. - Expansion Valve and Refrigerant Circuit
The expansion valve reduces refrigerant pressure before it returns to the evaporator. The refrigeration circuit also incorporates components such as a dry filter to support normal refrigerant circulation and system operation. - Water Pump and Water Tank
Many KANSA packaged air-cooled water chillers integrate a circulation pump and water tank. The pump circulates chilled water between the chiller and connected production equipment, while tank capacity and pump specifications vary according to the selected model. - Monitoring and Control Components
Depending on the chiller configuration, the water circuit can include a flow switch, water filter, pressure gauges and water-level monitoring. Standard models use an operating control panel, while selected high-precision models are equipped with touch-screen temperature controllers.
